Forrest & Love copper bottles, containers and other tableware are made of pure copper without the use of any heavy metals, which is confirmed by material tests of the German TÜV Rheinland laboratories.

Keeping drinking water in copper vessels is an ancient technique in Ayurveda that is still commonly used in Indian households today. And the scientific tests that have been carried out confirm its benefits.

Copper enriched water is called Tamra Jal in Ayurveda and is known to balance the doshas or energy in the body. In addition, copper keeps the water naturally cooler than the ambient temperature.

Pure copper makes still water naturally alkaline by raising the pH value. In addition, pure copper exhibits an oligodynamic effect, which means that it has an antibacterial and antimicrobial effect. Specific findings according to laboratory tests indicate that keeping water in a copper bottle prevents the occurrence of bacteria such as E.coli.

The value of copper in tap water, even after storing it in a copper bottle for 24 hours, was found to be 0.90 mg/l, which is far below the permissible limit of 2.0 mg/l given by the World Health Organization.

So you can be sure that drinking water from Forrest & Love bottles and containers is completely safe. We are happy to provide test results from TÜV Rheinland upon request.

Use of copper utensils

Use pure copper products only for still water. Strictly avoid storing acidic (tea, juice, etc.), carbonated drinks or any other liquids. You can store liquid in them for up to 12 hours.

Only the Moscow Mule mugs and the TE3 mug have a stainless steel finish, so they can be used for juices or mixed drinks.

Care and cleaning of copper utensils

Rinse well before first use.

Wash by hand, not in the dishwasher.

The product may contain traces of handcraft, such as small stains, as each is an original. Copper is a soft metal and can deform slightly over time. Handle products gently.

The inner surface may naturally darken over time due to oxidation and may show irregular or dark patterns, but this does not affect the water quality. If stains appear in the bottle, wash them with mild citric acid or descaling powder.

Wash the outside of the dishes only with clean water and mild detergent, abrasive agents can damage the product.
